QUALITY ASSURANCE

Exclusive 100% Risk Free Quality Guarantee

If we test your fabric / membrane and recommend a seam tape that fails to perform as we promised, when applied according to our recommended conditions we will replace that seam tape at no charge to you, including freight. All we ask is that you return the unused portion to us at our expense.

We will ask that you send us a sample of the fabric related to the problem with tape applied for our testing prior to replacement. This enables us to determine what caused the failure so that we may correct it for future customers

For more than 20 years, HiMEL has been developing and manufacturing a wide range of tapes and adhesives for use with seam sealing. We’ve combined this experience with the latest machinery and new chemistries to bring our customers high-quality products designed to match their needs.

03. TAPE MARK test

Recently it is the tendency to adapt very light weight fabrics for the outdoor wears and it requires more care in seam sealing process. When it happens in the garment factory you may could,

A) Lower the seam sealing temperature
B) Lower the roller pressure

But it may be also caused by the heat from the seam sealing machine, the pressure of the roller, the difference between the tape  material and fabric coating.

Using pucker free seam tape, you can prevent from tape mark on your garments.

04. WASHABILITY test

Separation of seam tapes is caused often after wash. It is called “hydrolyzed”generally. When it happens in the garment factory you may could,

A) Lower the seam sealing speed
B) Higher the seam sealing temperature
C) Clean the contaminated fabric with solvent

But it may be also caused by lack of endurance of seam tape’s adhesive against the water temperature and frictional force of washing machine during the washing.

Using seam tape which has excellent washability, you can prevent from hydrolyze

05. MICROSCOPE test

Surface of good tape

Adhesive (brown part) is applied evenly on all the surface of film which indicates strong adhesive power.

*specimen : HiMEL S330

Surface of bad tape “A”

Lots of blisters (white part) are shown on the surface of film which indicates adhesive is applied unevenly and cause weak adhesive power.

*specimen : Tape from company “A”

Surface of bad tape “B”

Lumps of adhesive (brown part) are shown on the surface of film which indicates adhesive is applied unevenly and cause weak adhesive power

*specimen : Tape from company “B”

06. TEMPERATURE AND HUMIDITY test

As a final process of lab test, we are doing “Temperature & Humidity” test. Many of our customers factories located in the hot areas like Vietnam, Indonesia and Bangladesh where the temperature gets high up to 40°C in summer with 95% humidity.

On the contrary, our steps could be used in the cold temperature, too. Under those harsh conditions seam sealing doesn’t going smoothly sometimes.

By letting our tapes in those circumstances, we could see what’s going on and prevent the possible problems in advance.
